This is a frame from a quick animation for one of my finals. The class is Acting for Animation... Our final assignment was to take a scene we performed in front of the class and translate it to animation. Considering how much time we're given, its turning out pretty good.

Its about an escaped convict who leaves a package at a woman's front door. She answers the door, takes the package, and goes back inside. He sneaks in, sniffs her hair and eventually gets beaten down by her. Girl power.

Miss-spelling words is both clever and creative. trust me.

Me and couple buddies will be starting up a Flash animation club at school next quarter. We all get to sit down and draft up the entity's "constitution" this weekend. I don't think it'll be nearly as groundbreaking as it was in 1786, but will definitely involve some sort of caffeinated beverage and/or potato chip.

The group is primarily focused on teaching students how to use flash for animation purposes and giving tutorials on various different things. We want to show students how to make good tradition animations through Flash.

Our school is pretty focused on their 3d dept. Except for Mike Owens introducing the program to us, we're not really shown or given the time to learn it in school. The whole 2d dept at our school is kind of shanty. Oh well.

I set up a blog for the club ahead of time... nothing on there now (except for a sweet logo) but hopefully soon. There we'll be able to post info, club schedules, student work, ect. Purdy neat.

Intern'd

I have the opportunity to intern at a local studio... PUNY Studios and its super awesome! Pcha! Currently the studio is putting together a (super secret/hilarious) cartoon pilot. I get to help out with clean-up, touch-ups, and coloring in Flash. Its super exciting (Not just regular exciting). I can't wait until its finished, so everyone can see.

This is their crazy/cool website. It has a demo reel of their past work, along with other info. They've done work for Cartoon Network, Target and recently struck success with Yo Gabba Gabba!, a Nick Jr. cartoon.

Besides school-related work, I probably won't have much time to work on anything else. But I'll try to update this like I usually do... I'll be helping out at the studio for the next 2 months or so.
