If you happen to come across a NorthEaster (newspaper) look out for the Maude Hair Salon ad I drew. Two different ads will run in the next couple weeks. These are the ones I helped Jerry out with. When I get ahold of a copy I'll make sure to snap some photos.

I started sketching tonight and thought I'd try my hand at the
11 Second Club challenge this month. By some strange voodoo magic, the character I was sketching looks almost exactly like the character speaking in the audio clip... weird. Either way, I started my roughs and created a good amount of assets.

Tiny, Small, Not Big...

PUNY's new comedy short is up online. (On the front page of YouTube even) Check it out below...

It was animated by Amanda Peters, characters were designed by Mitch, and the storyboarding was done by Mike.

When PUNY's next secret animated project is complete. (Which could melt your face with a heavy dose of unbearable cuteness) I'll see about posting it up here. I've been lucky enough to animate a sizeable chunk of it thus far, and I'm hoping for more.

I hope to figure out the airdate for YoGabbaGabba episode I helped with too. While only about 10 seconds of animation, it'll at least be on Nickelodeon!

Newspapah

Last quarter, I helped Jerry and his partner out with one of their Advertising assignments. They needed to put together a mock ad campaign for an actual hair salon with a budget of $2,000.

Part of the campaign included comic-style newspaper ads to promote the salon. I volunteered and drew up five strips, while Jerry did the copyrighting for it.

Turns out that the salon liked their work alot. They would like to use the strips as actual advertisements in one of the local papers. Here are two of them.

Lets see... I also have a couple drawings to post. Will throw up one tonight. Scan the rest tomorrow-ish.

This is a possible character design for something at PUNY. Will talk about it more as it starts to come together. The drawing is rough, but that doesn't matter. He'll be animated and will look alot more polished and detailed then.

I'm also going to update the blog design. Phase 1 (New Banner) is complete. Will hopefully have everything figured out and up this weekend.

I figured I needed a new facebook pic. Photos are cliche. Am thinking about doing a series, of people I know.

Shoe-la!!! (sounds like voila! ... get it? its a pun.)

Yep, I finished em. Wore em, got them dirty already... oh well. That's the life of a shoe. My feet thank you.

So far, so good.

I actually finished them tonight, but will instead throw up a pic of them before they were done (about halfway). That way I have something to post tomorrow! clever huh?

Intro to Video

Our final for Intro to Video is a 4-6 minute short film. Part of the final is to make a 11x17 poster of the film. This guy here is the centerfold for the poster.

I'll also scan in and throw up some newer sketches too.

Who ya gonna call?

This is a frame from a quick animation for one of my finals. The class is Acting for Animation... Our final assignment was to take a scene we performed in front of the class and translate it to animation. Considering how much time we're given, its turning out pretty good.

Its about an escaped convict who leaves a package at a woman's front door. She answers the door, takes the package, and goes back inside. He sneaks in, sniffs her hair and eventually gets beaten down by her. Girl power.
